Lauren + James | Des Moines Iowa Wedding Photographer

This wedding was definitely one of a kind! Guests and family came to a surprise birthday party for Lauren’s 30th and ended up being the ones surprised when Lauren and James announced that they were actually getting married! Lauren and James planned it perfectly! When I arrived, James was busy getting the party ready, all eyes were glued to the forecast as storms were approaching. Lauren arrived and was “surprised” by everyone.  A quick thank you to everyone and Lauren and James got into the details of what was actually going on- they were getting married! They took a quick break inside to get changed. Lauren had 3 dresses ready and her mom got to help pick which one she was going to wear. After everyone was ready it was time to go- and the rain was at it’s peak. As Lauren and James spoke their loving vows in the pouring rain, they took it in stride. The storm broke and the party started! What a perfect evening- Congrats Lauren and James!!
